South East London's blockbuster outdoor cinema, back in Queen's Gardens for two free days under the sky.
Seven films, two days, one lawn – all of it free.
For the second summer running, Queen's Gardens became a cinema. Your Bromley's Midsummer Movies brought free al-fresco films to the heart of the town on Friday 7 and Saturday 8 August, proudly supported by Biggin Hill Airport – family favourites through the day, classics as the sun went down.
The finale was chosen by the town itself: a public vote picked Grease for Saturday night, and the lawn sang along to every word.
Stylish deckchairs were on hire for £10, with every penny going to CASPA – Bromley's award-winning autism charity, helping autistic people build life skills and connect in safe, inclusive communities.
Gates opened 45 minutes before each screening, with refreshments on the lawn, facilities in The Glades and parking until midnight. If you missed it, the newsletter is where next summer's line-up lands first.
