Here’s some highlights from this year’s events funded by Your Bromley.

We celebrated Bromley’s heritage with the return of Broom Day, a historic festival inspired by the bright yellow broom flowers from which Bromley gets it's name. The festivities began at The Glades with a historical exhibition, followed by a parade through Bromley High Street led by the Mayor. The colourful procession featured a Giant Green Man, a walking Broom Flower and towering Flower Girls.
On arrival at Martin’s Hill, the parade was welcomed with a host of entertainment and activities, including a performance by Vivace Gymnastics and a ‘Beat the Goalie’ competition hosted by Bromley Football Club.
Funds raised during the event will support Bromley Brighter Beginnings.

Now in its ninth year, this much-loved celebration brought together 30 local primary schools, transforming the pedestrianised high street with unique planters inspired by the theme ‘Growing Together’. On Saturday 20 June, our judging panel, featuring much-loved television presenter and gardening expert Charlie Dimmock, toured the displays before announcing this year’s winners. Members of the public also had the chance to get involved by voting online for the People’s Choice Award.
Charlie Dimmock commented: “It’s such a positive event and one I really look forward to each year. I love seeing how the children get involved – not just with gardening, but also with shaping the look and feel of their town – it’s a real pleasure to see how gardening can help them connect with their community.”
This wonderful event highlights the importance of both the natural world and creating welcoming local spaces. A big well done to all the schools involved! Explore Floral Fest 2026 winning planters here.

On Sunday 5 July, Bromley Motor Show returned to the high street for it's second year running, bringing thousands of visitors into town to showcase almost 150 marvellous motors. The atmosphere was electric, with a roaming jazz band putting a New Orleans twist on popular hits, alongside a wandering mariachi band adding to the festival atmosphere.

From 7th–8th August 2026, Queens Gardens was transformed into a magical free outdoor cinema for Midsummer Movies. Families enjoyed daytime favourites including Finding Nemo, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Lilo & Stitch, Wicked for Good and How to Train Your Dragon, while evening screenings included The Devil Wears Prada 2 and the public-voted finale, Grease. A huge thank you to everyone who came along, and to those who supported CASPA through our deckchair hire, helping raise £1750 for the local autism charity.

From 12-20 September, Bromley’s cafés, restaurants, bars and pubs are came together for nine days of fantastic food and unmissable offers at £5, £10, £15, £20 and £25.
We were pleased to officially launch the campaign at The Royal Bell, bringing together local businesses, partners and guests to celebrate the fantastic hospitality scene across Bromley. We were delighted to be joined by Fred Sirieix, star of Channel 4’s First Dates and face of Bromley Restaurant Week, following a warm welcome from the Royal Bell's Mark Goldberg, and the Mayor of Bromley, Councillor Christine Harris.
A big thank you to everyone who joined us, including Peter Fortune MP. Special thanks to The Royal Bell and Wagamama for all their support, as well as to all the fantastic businesses taking part.
