Celebrate Bromley’s heritage at the return of Broom Day, a historic festival inspired by the bright yellow broom flowers. The celebrations start at The Glades with a historical exhibition, followed by a parade through Bromley High Street led by the Mayor which finishes at Martin’s Hill with live entertainment and family activities, and fundraising in support of Bromley Brighter Beginnings.

Agenda

The Glades Exhibition

Time: 11:00 – 16:00 Location: The Glades Shopping Centre (Central Atrium)

A special exhibition exploring the history of the broom in Bromley and how the town grew from its early beginnings. Little ones can also get involved with yellow floral decorations and fun headdresses available on the day.

Parade

Time: 12:00 start

At 12pm, the Mayor will lead a vibrant parade starting from the Elmfield Road entrance of The Glades, travelling along the High Street and Church Road to Martin’s Hill.

  • Towering Flower Girls

Everyone is welcome to join, wear something green and yellow!

Martin’s Hill

Time: 12:00 – 14:30
