Bromley entrepreneurs and start-ups now have a low-risk route into physical retail, thanks to a new Test Trading Pop-Up Market Stall pilot. The first businesses will start trading for a period of two weeks each from Thursday, 2 July. Make sure you get your application in before the Friday, 26 June deadline.

Delivered in partnership by Opportunity Bromley, StartUp Bromley, Your Bromley BID and Bromley Council, the scheme gives businesses two consecutive weeks on a high footfall stall on Bromley High Street.

Stalls run daily 9am – 5pm (on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays), with slots open to start-ups, scale-ups, makers, and online retailers stepping into physical retail for the first time. No prior market experience is needed. Participants also get access to business advice covering visual merchandising, customer experience and social media, plus the chance to connect with a local business support network.

The initiative is part of a wider effort to lower the barriers to trading and give entrepreneurs a real-world testing ground before committing to permanent premises.

Spaces are limited and allocated based on product suitability for the pilot. Applicants will need valid Public Liability Insurance (minimum £1m cover).
