Bromley Switched On Christmas

Posted on: November 20, 2019

Christmas lights, rocking bands, a parade and a Christmas market, all the ingredients you need to switch on Christmas! On the 17 November, Bromley Town Centre cooked up exactly that.

Your Bromley, business improvement district, began their Christmas celebration with the Jingle Bell Jog with MyTime Active. A 2km family friendly course, with the only rule being that you need to dress up in Christmas fancy dress.

The Jingle Bell Jog was followed by the Aladin themed Christmas parade, included LED dancers and a dragon! Working closely with the Churchill Theatre, who are hosting the Aladin as the Christmas Panto on the 7 December through till 5 January.

The stars of Aladin, Christopher Biggins and Max Fulham, brought their festive cheer to the stage, where they pressed the plunger, with local hero award winner, Parisa Wright, nominated for her community work to improve the environment. Parisa, nominated by a college for 'starting an amazing fast growing, inspiring and productive community working together to work on improving the environment', won a £250 donation to her chosen charity along with a £250 gift card from the Glades. Her college said 'she really deserves recognition for all her hard work and this would be a fitting way of thanking her for what she has done and is doing for our community.'

Your Bromley also went around the high street giving out red envolopes which gave them a chance to win a prize donated by the generous local businesses. Ranging from free meals from Zizzi to tickets to the Churchill Theatre.

All of us from Your Bromley hope you have a very Merry Christmas and enjoy all the festive cheers.
