Operation Gemini

Posted on: February 14, 2019

Additional policing for the town centre returns 18 February.

The additional policing hours, funded by Your Bromley, starts on Monday 18 February, and will run throughout the half term week till Saturday 23 February between 12 noon to 20.00 hours. The team of six Police officers will cover the town centre and prioritise tackling shoplifting and dipping, moving on beggars, and stopping people cycling on the pedestrianised part of the High St. Discussions with the Police are underway to test a similar exercise in March on Thursday evenings, after school and to cover late night shopping hours. An alert will be sent out via the Bromley Businesses Against Crime DISC system to all those who have signed up, as soon as the details of the March exercise are confirmed. If you’d like to hear more about the DISC system and the town wide exclusion zone it collects evidence for, please contact us.

A full report of December’s Operation Gemini, also funded by Your Bromley, is contained in February’s printed quarterly newsletter which was posted to the office sector and delivered by our Ambassadors to retailers, pubs and restaurants. If you didn’t receive a copy please let us know and we’ll make sure you get one.
