Update regarding face coverings

On Saturday 27th November 2021, the UK Government announced the reintroduction of certain COVID19 restrictions following the identification of the Omicron variant. Formal guidance was issued on the .Gov.UK website on 28th November 2021 and a link to this guidance in provided here.

All measures will be effective from 04:00AM on Tuesday 30th November 2021 and a summary of this guidance is provided below:

1. Face Coverings

The mandatory wearing of face coverings is to be reintroduced to public transport and shops in England applicable Tuesday (30th November). This will require our retail destinations in England to reintroduce their signage and to again politely engage with visitors to ask them to wear a face covering while in our managed schemes. At this time these rules do not extend to hospitality venues.

Should replacement signs be required, these can be ordered from Eximedia as before. We also encourage front line personnel who engage with members of the public at our retail destinations to wear face coverings.

Further to the above, we encourage colleagues who are carrying out site/property inspections or visits to always have face coverings with them and to wear these when required and certainly when interfacing with tenants and members of the public. This should certainly be the case in all retail and residential properties. Clients and others will expect to see the appropriate response by us as a business to the identification of this new Omicron variant.

Face coverings must also be worn on public transport unless individuals are exempt from wearing them.

The guidance for Scotland and Wales is unchanged at this time as the wearing of face coverings on public transport and in shops remains mandatory.
