BID Renewal

When we first gathered around a conference table at the end of 2019 to discuss our renewal campaign, we could not have foreseen COVID-19 and the impact this has had on our town centres across the nation.

Nonetheless, we are ambitious to develop new plans to support our town centre and help businesses recover from COVID-19. The BID has adapted to support ‘the new normal’ in an agile and forward-thinking way. Your Bromley BID has, during these difficult times, been working hard to provide a united voice for all of our businesses.

This has positioned us well to identify a new direction to support businesses for the next five years. We have assisted those who have faced uncertain futures and Your Bromley BID have been there as a trusted body for those who have needed help and guidance.

We have worked tirelessly to communicate with Bromley businesses about the Government support packages available throughout the pandemic, with a particular focus on ensuring those eligible for grants have all the information required to apply. We’ve seen businesses receive grants of up to £25,000 with our support.

There has been a greater emphasis also on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in recent times, something that Your Bromley BID has worked and continues to work hard to offer employees and businesses. We understand and value the importance of bringing our local communities together.

The past five years have delivered fantastic improvements for our town centre, and we welcome you to read these set out in this business plan. Our plan for the future sets out our new approach by understanding how all your business models have evolved, and by adapting our focus.

This will enable us to move with the times so that Bromley continues to be a thriving area for culture, environment and engagement. For this to happen, we need you to continue supporting your town centre.

As a business owner myself, I understand the importance of pulling together as one at this time and strongly urge you to vote ‘yes’ in the renewal ballot, which takes place between 29 January and 25 February. Thank you for your support.
